Jupiter, the planet of expansion stands still about to go retrograde this week on 20 June. But before it walks off in reverse mode — reviewing our growth so far since 27 March, its making a harsh aspect with Mars asking us balance our actions for better expansion and support — we would feel this all of this week starting from today. We go deeper into the aspect to understand it.

Jupiter stands still about to go retrograde on 20 June after which our growth since 27 March would be filtered without any social influence or support as we would judge our expansion on a standalone basis under our own value system. Before that happens usually hope and some positive progress is shown in direction of expansion after which we are left to our devices to grow this hope. Jupiter-Neptune and Pisces qualities of no boundaries with others, compassion, spirituality, creative genius, support from the unknown as well as sly salespeople or deceptive rodents or subconscious fears & paranoia would also be peaking this week. This is usually the period when we see things better than they are and there is optimism. Jupiter meets Mars as well in Quincunx during this week.

I mentioned in my June overview that Jupiter will go retrograde on 20th June at the degree of “Self Protection”. Its like to move forward safely and continuing to grow, we need to shield our creation from external influences for a while as Jupiter stays retrograde till 18 Oct. Sabian symbols showed this as “A Squirrel hiding from the hunters” — she is seen to not only store the food for the winter but also to hide it. Social influences can cast strong shadows at what we are trying to create. Competition, social aggression and greed are some of these influences we would need to shield ourselves from. This does have a very ominous symbol for the social unrest where violence as a possibility cannot be dismissed following.

Mars has finally walked out of Cancer and moved into Leo where it definitely performs better and is able to bring some of our drive back. But with Jupiter this drive goes into overdrive this week. It also takes hubris and pride to another level. This is excellent to get things off the ground but you better choose which project or person deserves all of this competitive exuberance of yours cause by God you would make it happen. Mars in Leo gets aroused by its image in the mirror — we must put it on the stage to fulfil its purpose which is to bring joy to the native. Only thing he is afraid of is life not live or passions not displayed. He wants to get going. Jupiter in Pisces wants to do what serves the collective, wants us to have faith in the bigger plan providence has for us and wants to throw light at our subconscious to take us closer to spiritual fulfilment versus purely carnal one. There is nothing in common between the two.

Good manifestation is we make one of the best creative outputs which help someone psychologically, spiritually or we give away proceeds of what we make from our ventures to help someone. Idea of service shouldn’t dampen our competitive juice just as faith doesn’t mean we don’t play full on in business world. Quiet the opposite, the two sides of ourselves must feed each other. You having great amount of energy and an open spirit doesn’t mean we need to conform to unrealistic expectations of others of us which leaves us drained or worst feeling used. So the saint and performer or diva side of us needs to find a middle way. Sex drive in overdrive and yearning for spiritual love needs to find a middle ground. Wanting to get things somehow done on own will would have to find synchronicity with plan of the Universe hinted by our intuition. This urge to find the middle path comes on the heels of Jupiter being very strong lighting some hope as well as accentuating openness of our heart and creative juices. It could create gains for us so we can help others or it can make us loose ourselves to psychedelics or someone else’s cause to become a martyr. Self love and love for all has heart and creativity in common but we need to find a middle ground here. Spats of ego are pretty common with this aspect.

We are asked to change our modus operandi in some ways — how we go after what we want.

Question your own motives today see which side your actions are swinging more cause there is always an imbalance when this aspects comes into play — we are either totally being a doormat for someone and being a martyr for our art or love or we loose sight of fulfilment due to competitive animal spirits or worst start blaming faith or God or karma for current moment. It doesn’t have to be everything or nothing. We would be asked to change the way we act to grow further. Remember we are in the phase of Mercury retrograde when most mistakes are made due to speed and delivering things before they are ready or saying things before we have thought through — typical fools rush in period and with Mars in Leo we would take undue risk. This also makes us more prone to physical injury. Use this energy to make a change in how you would normally go after what you want, appreciating both the competitive part of you as well as the creative pleasant Jupiter vibes. Be mindful of the psychedelic behaviour of this aspect this week which makes everyone swing from high to low in seconds. Jupiter will go back to the degrees it covered since 27 March so this might feel like a point where we are being asked to change the way we act to get the kind of expansion we want — we might either need to change the project we are working on or change the way we go after what we want. Somewhere ego is coming in the way of fulfilment or too much selfless love for someone or something or even blind faith has totally made us loose sight of our benefits, uniqueness and well being. Sticking to our way of doing things to one idea that we had thought of which we feel is more true to ourselves is not getting you the kind of exposure you want. Jupiter will give us optimism to grow but it would ask us to divert energy to higher pursuits or change the way we get that expansion. Mars will try that we don’t loose ourselves to love for other or that ideal just doesn’t stay ideal, we create something of it.
