We are coming into the week of Pluto opposition and it has a very cardinal start of week with the quarter moon in Libra. We dig deeper into what Pluto opposition wants to show us this week through its contact with Sun, Mars, Mercury, Venus along with the delivery of full moon over coming weekend. This full moon is happening at the very degree we had the once in 20 years Saturn Jupiter configuration of Dec 2020 which triggered the beginning of new structure of our growth and abundance for the next 20 years of our life.

Under the quarter Libra moon our new beginnings seeded in comfort and ease are challenged and as Rudhyar described “the incoming tides of possibilities slam against the momentum of what we have already known”. The quarter moon demands a change in our approach to make the new beginning possible in full force and also to allow us to bring our royal endeavours out for social launch or large scale dissemination with 24 July Aquarius full moon(covered in July monthly reading).

Aquarius Full moon of 24 July is happening at the degree where Saturn Jupiter conjunction of December 2020 happened which initiated the process to create the structure of next 20 years of growth and abundance for us. Now we are reaching the first threshold of that structure with 24 July full moon with some completions, deliverables or conclusions and with Saturn retrograde some restructuring is overdue — always the question being where did we say yes when we should have said no. Come to current moment, Sun in Cancer clashing with the Moon in Libra indicates a difficultly in us being fair or objective to another due to our own needs and complexes. It shows the hindrance in relating to another especially our partners — business or personal — due to our need to protect our own individual identity. Moon Pluto square further adds to this by creating a constraint in how much we give in to another cause we seem to have something to prove. Hades Sun and Moon bring out some unfinished business in partnerships out in the open at the onset of the week.

Moon in Libra is the apex of this conflict intensifying the emotional investment we have in this and something minor can tick us off as we try to balance these two conflicting parts of ourselves one looking for comfort and the other looking for authority. The child in us conflicts with the “adult” part of us. Moon in apex also indicates a change in personal dynamic, place of living, emotional response to situations, relationships and partnerships. Cardinal T-Square release new energy, give us the impetus to get things started, problem is dealt head on and not brushed off or ignored.

This all is happening in the moment of truth that is the Pluto retrograde midpoint, when Pluto opposes the Sun reaching a crescendo of demise of the fake elements of our life. Sun our ego’s opposition to Pluto right now is bringing out where we are resisting the death of the inevitable, demise of the fake elements of our life and where we have potential of resurgence of a new life if only we accept what has died and is defunct.

Hades is a state of mind, a purgatory gate we must all pass to meet death of a fragment of our life and enter what is the reincarnation of our life.

Pluto in our chart represents suppressed power, wherever its located in our chart we go through multiple transformation to bring out the repressed potential and its the most difficult one to integrate in the external world and our external identity. But if we make the effort to bring out the potential of it to life instead of being scared of that part of us — we contribute to the collective evolution of the collective. Pluto transit similarly brings out repressed potential in the area of your chart where its transiting right now and integrating that part of us in all honesty makes us a bringer of evolution versus one being pushed around by external factors. Its the underworld lord which represents the process of death and rebirth. Its transits bring death of the weak or dishonest elements of our life but its also the holder of seed of life bringing resurgence of life but that only happens after death of the fake.

During this opposition we are asked to do exactly this — own the potential we hold in that area of our life we release the fear about it so we can contribute to the collective evolution versus being pushed around by it.

Those of who have Sun Pluto contacts in their natal chart like myself they cross this purgatory multiple times in their living existence and its usually hereditary or ancestral like the Hades moon. The process of exploring the dark or hidden side of life continues with regular life or even becomes part of life and identity goes through multiple rebirths. Children of Sun-Pluto contact have a way to bring darkness they feel to light cause they consciously live with it and know that it exists.

But for those who do not have Sun-Pluto contacts in their natal chart do meet this aspect with sharp contrast to their everyday life as there is sudden desire to see the “unseen” and in some ways visit one’s personal hell or a part of themselves they didn’t know exists. Reminds me of when Phoebe in Friends suddenly saw end of all fairy tales was a gory one which her mother had hidden from her (I forget the episode number/season). Well its brand new information. From not wanting to look at something cause its dysfunctional or morbid we are brought to not having an option but to face it.

This period of 18–25 July is all about seeing the truth and accepting it, owning it and moving forward from that empowered with a resolve. The collective unrealistic optimism turns to recognising the facts of the moment. Unrealised fears come to surface. Whatever is brushed under is brought over.

What is your ego resisting ? Are we trying to control something that cannot be controlled ? Or are we giving up personal power to another cause its easier to blame another versus owning our life ?

We are asked to face the inevitable. Like we are being asked to face how irreversibly we have damaged the environment and earth resources which this reflects in mundane events. We can all pretend its not happening or its in small pockets or argue till next natural disaster if this is global cooling or warming.

We are challenged to draw upon deep reserves of regenerative power within us to purge, cleanse and bring a healthier state of existence in the area of the life where Pluto is transiting right now and as an archetype in Capricorn it normally points to career, life path and personal authority in terms of who heads the family or who is the authority of your life. Because of fear we might have been holding onto whatever was there before no matter how dysfunctional, but sometimes elimination needs to come before a replacement is guaranteed. That’s where we are asked to tap into our deep reserves of power within. Things are dug up, eliminated, rearranged and a new more healthy platform especially of work and authority is created.

Elimination with Pluto cycles always happens before a new cycle can begin. If you have been holding onto whats unhealthy and should have been eliminated due to fear or other factors — the situation would normally intensify during this week seemingly through external factors or people but they are just external manifestation of your internal struggle to let go. We hang onto this mistaken belief that something is being done to us when something is in reality being done by us. Its normally our underlying need for change that brings about the things that seem to happen to us during this time. If we ourself don’t take the plunge normally these events would nudge us with some push. We are given what we need and it may not necessarily seem to be what we want in that moment. Do not waste this energy in blaming someone else or trying to change anyone’s behaviour towards you by seeing yourself as a victim — but use this to understand where we are not facing the music.

Pluto does rule criminal activity and explosives — during this time they do rise so on physical level you must absolutely protect yourself, when we are talking of physical aggression here — it should always should be opposed and you should be careful during this time. Avoid places with chances of criminal activity or violence at this time. I repeat Pluto rules explosives, pls be careful. Objects, machinery and relationships go through sometimes breakdown during this time if its time to renew and replace. Patch up job won’t do. Considering this activates the financial houses of United States, this can cause a debt event or financial event.

22 July Mars Inconjunct Pluto date is especially very critical threshold of an intense confrontation. This is excessive use of power, drive to win for ego or to prove oneself and sexual intensity. We can be impulsive or face aggression around this wasting energy or burning bridges. Loosing control is key word here which we need to be careful on this day and around especially since Jupiter Venus will make an opposition making for an indulgent aspect and lack of discipline. We can use both positively by learning that personal power is in changing our course versus trying to change anyone else as well as using this extraordinary drive, strength and spirit of combat to find a course more suitable for us. We might need to take an alternative approach to get what we want and also recognise where our ego is coming in the way of seeing what we truly want.

The thing is the person you would find within you during this time of opposition is the real you cause most important death in crossing this threshold is of ego identity. “That’s not me anymore” is a common phrase I hear during this transit. Pluto erodes our superficial connection to life so we can commit to our true self. Ambitions sour and ability to persevere and focus is immense. The resources you find within you during this conflict are yours for life and they are liberating. Fake structures, authorities, elements they disintegrate in this process. Self assertion, determination, daring, self confidence albeit through push comes during this time.

In few cases we do find some very important influential people entering our life who show us another way to our goals but we need to manage getting into strong ego conflicts with them cause we might be working against the very people whose support is most crucial to us. Always remember you are trying to change a situation not another person but other people are a way to see that the situation needs transforming in the first place.

Its a moment of honesty and it comes through potential conflicts and power struggles with another. This especially happens with people in power pushing us to stand up for ourselves. The confrontation normally brings the hidden issue out in the open. It gives us an opportunity through a conflict to illuminate the potential within us and it also shows where the expression of that part of you is being blocked. This is a turning point, cause the person you would find within you during this transit, you would refuse to let that go. There is an irreversible change in each of these oppositions in terms of who we are and who owns our existence.

Every time, bit by bit we break our old conditioning and come out leaving the nest one more time.
