While in Part 1 we covered Personal and Global themes, in this note we will talk of the dos or don’ts or rather the questions we should ask ourself during this very intuitive and intimate moment of connection with self that is the new moon in Cancer.

Past two years with eclipses in Cancer and Capricorn much has structurally shifted in all our lives — both personally and professionally. Where do we go from there — in some ways Cancer new moon and season is the answer to that as you would find yourself asking these questions and getting some honest realisations which would require acceptance of what has happened so far.

§ Sometimes the person you need to care for most is you, rest falls in place once you do that

§ Working is important but its also a means to life affirming activities which allow you to express yourself

§ Whats the example you are leaving behind for your future generations ?

§ Every generation leaves world with one progressive step by stepping out of traditions — whats yours ?

§ Past two years we were driven to release Capricorn karma — recognising that old career, worldly status and traditional growth path doesn’t fulfil us anymore. But we were also taught that family, home, emotional & spiritual well being needs equal tending to if not more as does our desire to achieve. So do we just forget past two years or start something tangible to mark that different way of living?

§ The support from our personal life feeds and inspires our external life — if its not happening do I need to look at things differently and make a change. Work cannot drown personal life anymore as we might have been doing so far, our inner life & personal life is supposed to feed our external ambition not drain it. Yes its an idealistic vision of it but thats what we are meant to strive for — what do not have and what tangible single step you can take now to change that at your end

§ A misconception about Cancer as a archetype — they need lot of external nurturing — Cancer part of us needs to learn to self nurture. Once you have identified your missing needs — its time to see which ones you can self nurture, keeping in mind ego is different from needs. Most of us starve our needs in zest to feed our ego — neither usually get met in the process. And yes wanting someone else to provide you what you can achieve yourself is a form of ego.

§ Remember external nurturing comes with codependency, passive aggressive relationships and a partner becoming a domineering parent

§ This lesson of self nurturing is not limited to personal life, it changes who we are professionally and we make very different choices from that place of stability

§ As a parent or a nurturer — this prompts us to recognise as well where we are walking thin line of nurturing, domineering, disciplining and why. All discipline is not bad but yeah there are times when its a control mechanism you know its normally cause your cup was empty, you were running on empty tank yourself

§ All of us have this meter within us which tells us when we are full, we were born with that sensitivity but you on continuous basis run on empty tank with no self nurturing — that system is broken and then no food, no person, any amount of external love doesn’t fill us and link to that sensitivity is broken. Very reparable damage

§ Its ok and more normal actually to be surrounded by things but not feel satisfied — just means you are craving something deeper than what has been accessed so far

§ Yes how good you feel is a simple yet effective measure of a successful day

§ Come back to your center — your intuition — creativity is where she plays the best — story telling tells you more of yourself. Enjoy the creative process of your life — write about it, create it visually for you to see — how you want different phases of your life to look like — you would be amazed how quickly you would be able to create real things out of this imaginative process of creating your future

§ When something inside you blocks you from going too far in this process — recognise this blockage not just from now but from your early upbringing, recognise the authoritative influence you still might seem to operate under even though that authority has long ended. Step out of that imaginary cage

§ Know that you do get greatly influenced by who and what is around you during this season as we open ourselves — calm surrounding, pursuits and people and positive influences are needed. Use this season to recognise who needs to be filtered out but remember Cancer is not a loner, its a collaborative archetype but you have to find who you let in cause they become your “family”. But when we do feel self doubt creep in we have to recognise whose doubt it is.

§ Sun and moon in Cancer has the destiny to nurture — blocking that side of you is as damaging as overextending so much to forget self. Recognise your need to be useful to another and provide for — its not weakness but it should be done in awareness that we are living a part of our human nature. Do not forget the moral context though in helping others.

§ Understand your creative process — the process you use to create anything beautiful can be used to create your own life. Refine that process. Writing, performance, theatre, camera, film, photography its the time to explore your process. You will find very interesting gems about yourself in them and

§ You would discover there is more fun way to learn things. Intuition & simple knowing skips a million steps of practical learning. As they say everything we need to learn is sometimes all in us waiting to be explored. You know more than you think you do

§ Being emotional comes with the super power of knowing human psychology and behaviour — do not forget to use that super power

In this Cancer season we are asked to seek fulfilment from trusting our own power and our own unique journey instead of seeking power outside of ourself. Which means letting go expectations a bit and trust the process cause if you do, you might enjoy the process a whole lot more. Our heart and compassion is leading us to paths which traditional values and measures of success cannot be used — where we have to trust our own guidance system to know if this is right or wrong. None of it means we do not have drive or goals or success. Just that its more inspired and self supportive.

Sometimes being venerable is the boldest thing we can do.
