Saturn is turning retrograde and we will diligently mature and birth for next nine months every degree of our chart it would traverse of which about 130 days would be spent in going back over the degrees of 13º31’ to 6º53’ Aquarius recreating internal structures. Period of 14 Feb to 23 May this year is the time when we planted seeds at each of those degrees in our chart, and now from 23 May to 10 Oct we would be maturing them followed by the birthing process of that new structure between 10 Oct to 15 Jan 2022. The past is reviewed and reflected upon for its effectiveness for future during next 130 days changing deeper layers of our psyche. What evokes this reflection? Look over events of past two weeks and they would have evoked it usually characterised by restlessness and frustration from status quo and in some cases an ending. The seeds that were sown between Mid Feb to now cannot germinate without this process. We will go deeper into this process today. One thing to keep in mind is that Saturn retrograde is not a passive state, its an active restructuring in which we participate and things progress. Progress is not arrested but the path to vision is shifted. Keep a dream, a vision, a long term goal of being of greatest value, of prosperity, abundance & growth in mind when you think of different phases I describe here and observe its gestation patterns as those dates arrive. Saturn is the strongest planet this year in terms of dignity and I do believe being in line with its energy produces the most lucrative & long lasting results. 1991/92 is when this retrograde last happened in case you are old enough to carry forward the lessons though not everything is the same. 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲

As we approach 14 Jun square of Saturn Uranus we would intensity the fight between the ideal and the reality. An unlimited idea and its possibilities would feel like someone is binding it, curtailing its fertility, limiting our choices. Kronos — Saturn archetype literally swallowed his own children due to fear of the “new” dethroning him & to maintain status quo. Saturn swallows future potentials as they are unknown, can be dangerous and threaten the law. It can feel limiting, even downright frustrating, like taking two steps back. What feels limiting is the process of gestation, digestion and assimilation of those unique ideas to avoid them from prematurely dying out instead of being created into firmer shapes and in more palatable usable productive form. Kronos double hatched his kids. This process of creating internal boundaries to handle the new paradigm, internalising the new ideas, gestating them and rebirthing them in a new and useful way is the cyclical process we are embarking upon.

Saturn is turning retrograde at the degree of “Anticipation”, we were just about to embark upon the degree of acceleration of evolution process — “possibility of shortening the length of time needed for progress by cutting through obstacles and delays”. When this apparent u-turn is taken and internal restructuring begins. We have to recognise Saturn is much more concerned about who we are becoming in the process versus what we are creating.

During Saturn retrograde we restructure our code of conduct, the rules, the personal boundaries, basis which we are building our vision and our social output. Reevaluation of protocols which we use to make especially our social and professional decisions. This is the time when we build what gives us the “edge” so as to speak. This is the time when poor boundaries are worked on.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 ?

As we connect back with the world — what are the rules of this connection, of network, who do we connect with. There is a pressing need to join others, to be part of a group but there is this awkwardness of being together too. Saturn in Aquarius makes one a loner even if they are in a crowd. But without learning the rules of the game we would forfeit the opportunity to grow and learning this very important part of our life. Friends and network are the catalyst for us recognising where our boundaries are fuzzy. Loyal and enduring networks are created through this process of re-engineering. We may not feel easy in group situations but there is precisely where we would learn more about ourselves. We can be physically alone yet have a sense of belonging.

These would be key questions which would come up. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. Groups, associations, network, ideals, visions while they are restructured, you would realise that past is being reworked in the present with groups and associations e.g. I don’t say no to my friends because of early upbringing and relationship with father figure. Old associations might come back in and old patterns of relating come back in to restructure. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

Don’t be trapped by your own ideals, ideals are being changed, whosoever you previously modelled or idealised is as well. Ideas are more important than ideals. Being less bothered with “how it looks” and social acceptability is important to deal with as Kronos might be swallowing some unique ideas due to that social fear and you need to recreate your ideals to protect your ideas. In initial stages you would find yourself thwarting natural evolution of your talents. Dealing with this fear of your own old ego identity to deliver new version of you is key during this transit. Don’t get frustrated and give up too early on your goals and vision on this journey. But yes review, reassess and rechoose your path to what you are aiming for. What will come out will be totally different from what you start with. Patient persistent step to it all. One of the key things we all miss out in Saturn transits is the fact its aim is for us to take responsibility of our current and future moments, accepting where we standing right now as truly our own creation versus of the circumstances & even transits.

The thing with this Saturn in Aquarius transit is, the visions that are developed and structures that are created around it are very unexpected in nature. Even if you have Saturn Retrograde in your birth chart, which many of us do, because its a social planet it would impact you in the house it transits in the same way. An additional thing to note would be that you might have some patterns linked to the father or father figure in your life come up, either not having one or having not enough time or connection with the father figure in early years and how that impacted you. 𝟮𝟯 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 : Resistance
Retrograde period is the time of going one level deeper into our fabric of existence to restructure our psyche. It starts on 23 May when we might reach a point which might feel like an ending but its far from it. We sometimes don’t even recognise what has ended and it just shows up as a physical depression or debilitation, in some cases even as a relief of completion. We are given an empty vessel in some ways but the process of shift in that vessel is alchemy which is unseen by others. Whatever you thought this vessel was when you seeded it Feb to now, what would finally show up in period from Oct’21 to Jan’22 is going to be considerable different. Our participation in the society and in the network that we belong to would be undergoing a period of maturation and our contribution will significantly be different when we emerge out. How we connect to others, what ideas we work on and what vision becomes our legacy would be changed. Who are our friends, who are our tribe would also shift with it. Saturn retrograde reverses the role making us the maker of the rules deepening our relationship with ourselves. And it begins with restlessness and angst with status quo and possibly an ending.

𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 : Realisation
The Sun Trine Saturn of 3rd June at the degree of retrograde would give us more information on what we need to incubate and restructure over next 130 days and given birth to in months following that. Saturn station might feel like growth has become stagnant and we have been experiencing that in past few days but its actually blocking us in some ways to not go full on onto a path that isn’t ours. The trine process to 3rd June creates a cocoon around the area of the life we need to restructure, feels like hemming in or needing more privacy. As you create this nice shelter around the vessel you would be working on, you begin to trim out the possibilities and shrink the parameters. The process of where did I say yes where I should have said no begins. With Sun in Gemini around 3rd June we would receive information we possibly didn’t see before, making it clear what needs to change, whats not working and what possibilities exist. It coincides with a Mercury conjunct Solar Eclipse opening up our mind possibly through news, information, discussion, reading, moving. Around 10th June with the eclipse a new seed is planted in our mind but due to Neptun squares in June, things will be still unclear.

𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 : Pruning
The more ego attachment we have in the area of the life Saturn visits, the more resentment we feel during this process of what feels like reduction or streamlining or pruning. Saturn is trying to make it actionable but ego doesn’t like limits. This could be you also setting down rules with external parties who wouldn’t like you trying to be less for them and more for you — internalising energies. 3rd July we would see some compromise being made. This quincunx is between Cancer and Aquarius so compromise would often be between past security & forward vision, home family & social contribution, wanting to wait and wanting to proceed to action.

𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 : Turning Point
We reach the midway point of opposition on 2nd August which is a turning point in this cycle marking end of resistance — ego opposition reaches its peak here. Leo versus Aquarius. Don’t flee this stage, there will be pressure and temptation to. Your vision is being reincarnated but there is a balance to be reached between what the society, your social group, your fan group, influential people who receive your vision, your platform and social norms demand versus what your personal unique view of what you want to do. There is perspective that is gained from this opposition and an outdated assumption is brought to light. Next two months your old defensive mechanisms are broken down and we see structure of your life completely shift. The adjustments would greatly accelerate as we reach 31st August quincunx.

𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟬 𝗢𝗰𝘁 : Final touches
Although we haven’t reached the new status quo but we find more apt ways of realising our vision. There will rapid changes made to work to deliver with some level of urgency towards the trine of 29 Sept though we should absolutely wait to launch any big structural changes till after 10 Oct. Avoid early delivery to kick in around 29 Sept, Virgo energy will allow us to diligently work but we could become eager to initiate once Libra season kicks in. These would be days of standing still, final touches to what you have been bringing up.

Saturn going direct is the birthing time, a new structure of our vision starts physically manifesting. This is period of conscious manifestation. New rules of the road, new structure is put to work, tangible usefulness is given birth to out of that. Long term projects that were seeded or tentative plans or fantasy we wanted to put to structure starts coming to reality. This is also the time we throw concrete actions remove unproductive relationships and activities or projects that are not part of our future karma.
