Mercury Retrograde moves to Taurus
We are in Gemini season, when we are urged to socialise, verbalise, interact, speak our ideas, move, pace, frolic 😉 and enjoy the flexibility of the season as we slowly transition out of fixed earth and water to breathing in fresh air. Ruler of Gemini — Mercury — is still retrograde though till 3 June infact it has moved back to Taurus this week where it would go direct next week. This is the phase of Mercury retrograde when all the mistakes that mercury retrograde is known for are normally committed. I talk about it in every cycle but we do them anyways 🙂 cause it’s human nature to feel positive and want to trigger a go when things feel like they are moving forward.
Moreover we are in Gemini season which is a season of transition when the season changes and we are given the flexibility and agility to move from one phase of life and mindset to another. This season and this week is kickstarting on potential for positive and expansive mindset with Jupiter making a sextile aspect at the onset of the week itself. This is a socially positive aspect as we are given the impetus to write, speak, express and understand people from a more positive viewpoint. Intensity of the eclipses hasn’t totally died off and Pluto aspects are galore this week especually on 27th when it squares Venus in Aries at 28º triggering the end degree cardinal signs. But its somehow not dampening the Gemini spirit of change — its supporting it. Its giving it focus and conviction — dare I say confidence that change can be for the best or if thats a stretch for you — “I can make the best of this change”.
Coming back to Mercury retrograde though — the inferior conjunction of 21 May at 0º Gemini has seeded a new thought, a potential, a seed in the dark which still needs this week to gestate and should be birthed normally only after Mercury direct after 3 June. Its the time to experiment and work forward with caution — gather new information, test out new territory, allow the options to develop a bit but do not yet finalise if possible or if you need to do it with caveats or space for changes. We are meant to aquire information which would be acted on after direct. In Taurus Mercury would focus on stability, longevity and practical output of many many options Gemini mind has envisaged or said. A Gemini seed when looked deeply under the lens of Taurus Mercury — it sounds like below conversation. Whats the point of all the back and forth, whats real, whats tangible, what is truly worth — keep it simple and less fluffed up. You will give up some fluff or parts of your ideas which do not meet the test or atleast accept that it was purely a recreational idea, project or person and in reality you need to move on to something more tangible and lucrative or worth your time & breath. Allow this period to play with the ideas without trying to explain yourself to everyone already or versus trying to fully mature them or get too invested in them too soon.
