On 6th October at 7:05am E.T. we would have Sun and Moon as well as Mars and Mercury come together to form a very cardinal new moon at 13º25’ of Libra as Pluto, the planet of rebirth and transformation, turns direct few hours later bringing us to the moment of rebirth that has come after many internal battles and struggles over past months since April. Its one of those times when we would have to actively try to manage our inner equilibrium as our sense of perspective isn’t very clear yet the vigor to defend oneself and one’s position is equally high. None of whats coming to surface is about the current moment. There is a little trouble in paradise as the normal balance of Libra moon as well its avoidance of direct confrontation is being rattled. As I said its not about the current moment. This is still a new moon, our chance to seed the new.

Libra themes would dominate the next two weeks when we seed this new, these are themes of balance in partnerships, socially and intimately. Beyond personal relationships, this extends to any kind of legislation, arbitration, laws, commitments, contracts interpersonal and professional as well as international contracts, national alliances, matters of war and peace, treaties, competition or handling of opponents or opposition like critics or enemies or opposition parties, settlement of law suits, social / race / class / gender equality. Its a cardinal new moon that we would experience today which would bring these into focus over next two weeks. So something will come to head with some speed after the retrograde period i.e. after 18th Oct through which we would have to initiate a new way to be in these partnerships, connections, laws, wars, treaties, contracts, alliances. Air, winds, birds externally and internally balance of salt / electrolyte / hormones / glands or alkaline / acid balance along with kidneys, lower back, our body’s lumbar support, ovaries comes into focus with need to manage balance of the mind or brain chemistry, blood sugar, hormones required from health perspective. Continent of Europe cannot stop talking of wind and wind as well as Europe is key focus of this new moon.

𝗜𝗜. 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 & 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴

Even though initiations are normally finalised and are better finalised after the retrograde period which we have till 18th Oct, we would set the intentions over this week specifically on 9th when Mercury walks the earth so as to speak and both our mind and our drive is reborn with both Mars and Mercury meeting Sun. This is a very strong aspect where ideas are born, business ventures, new way of communicating is born but this is a very restless and hurried aspect too. It will come with sharp words, debates as ego can take over our body and mind in the restlessness to get ahead. We discussed this in Mercury retrograde reading, this is phase of retrograde when mistakes of hurrying ahead before its time to go are normally made. Hold your horses, there is more work to be done which will come around 15–17 Oct. The period around 9th as much as it holds potential of new start, it holds great potential of a very strong conflict of egos and wills. We would ego identify with our ideas and somethings can become an intellectual debate ignoring the fact that they are still ideas only, no one knows what would turn out to be the best thing in future. Period after 13 Oct would bring more support on matters. Specifically with 15 Oct, we have an air trine specifically supporting 22º air signs (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini ~ 15 Oct, 12 Feb, 13 Jun born) which can help us get support and resources for our forward looking ideas. As I have said before though, Pluto will always try to make sure we ground our air ideas and actually work on them.

Pluto is going direct with this new moon, indicates it is the time for deeply submerged feelings and resources — strength, power we have found within ourself over past five months to now rise to the surface. It will challenge if we try to connect with others on the same old rules before we found that strength in us. 17 Oct is when we could experience this, the way we use our personal power in connecting with others would be tested. This would be first real evidence of post Pluto retro journey that we have let go of an old pattern irrevocably. Make place for the new. This is a point in post Pluto purge when we would have to leave something especially for around 24º of cardinal signs (Libra, Capricorn, Aries, Cancer ~17 Oct, 15 Jan, 14 Apr, 16 Jul born). This challenge could come up in terms of how we deal with authority figures cause what Pluto in Capricorn is trying to shift within us is make us the authority of our life, talent and time. Its about owning ourself — both the good and the bad — the errors and the talents. In some cases this can show up as mechanical breakdown. Its a challenge as much as its an opportunity to focus and transition to the other side. This aspect confers huge focus and insight — and that is why we got to wait to finalise things till after 18 Oct. We have beautiful Mars Jupiter trine following 18 Oct and it helps provide this insight and focus with constructive action. After 20th its cardinal center as we get into Aries full moon and end of month Mars would move into sign it rules Scorpio which would greatly help our drive. Initiative and experimentation is name of the game after 20 Oct. None of it would be without its share of volatility as last Saturn Square Uranus would come into play in November but things move forward. End of year and early 2022 would be very volatile economically. So we need to find our firm footing with these lunations.

𝗜𝗜𝗜. 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆

𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮
While this exact new moon with Mars Mercury in Libra conjunct Sun and Moon was only seen back in Oct 1942–9/10 Oct to be exact, it was the middle of World War II — its tough to compare those times considering outer planet transits being different and a lot has changed since then. Apart from the parallel of alliances formed, UN being established, we saw these exact dates to be of significance for Australia. While Australia gained independence in 1901, it wasn’t till legislation passed on 9 Oct 1942 that London’s legislative control got over and Australia’s foreign policy truly became independent. This can have significant parallels right now. UK had power to conduct external affairs of Australia before this. You can compare a similar kind of foreign policy freedom for Australia being exhibited in these times. These days wars are more economic versus army driven, with Pluto in Capricorn its about control of resources of earth and with Pluto in Aquarius the power plays will move away from physical resources like oils, metals etc.

Nearest history of this new moon dates back to 2015 as the rest of the lunations right now. We had this new moon as a total lunar eclipse back in April 2015 which was activated in Jan 2015. Lunar eclipses bring closures, completion and we are now in moment of initiation so we might be started something new in place of what we achieved or experienced as a closure in first part of 2015. 2015 also had Mercury retrograde in Libra in Sept / Oct 2015. So events that were possibly through a fated event in early part of 2015 took time till Sept / Oct 2015 for us to know fully and register how they are panning out for us. Now we would see a different side of events of 2015, whereby what we completed, achieved in 2015, we might decide to start anew driven by that, including growth lessons from 2015 but we now go in a different direction. This is a new start building on events of 2015 with a twist. We would get to the twist on deeper side of the reading as the twist is psychological change.

𝗜𝗩. 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

We have three social and outer planets going direct, it would ofcourse bring a deluge of political and socio economic events in next two weeks.

Let’s try to only focus on this specific lunation for now. As we spoke in the September reading, Pisces-Virgo axis impacts oil industry, Middle East, Canada, Russia, California and Cardinal axis of Aries-Libra impacts European complex, air — communication, wind and UK. So this month we would see shifts in the European complex as we spoke in Mercury retrograde reading. This also impacts China significantly along with Taiwan.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
France will experience this as a solar eclipse with north node which can bring a new phase in financial relationship with foreign country. This impacts national debt. 8th house is also unfortunately the house of death or a fated event. Back in 2015 the eclipse point which this new moon is activating did bring the Paris attacks. It was the period of worst World War II Attack on France. There is need to be cautious due to Mars involvement.

𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆
Germany would experience this in its 9th house of immigration, religion, shipping trade. Natal Pluto of Germany is being directly aspected in this new moon, this again points to events in 2015 when not only the open policy to refugees created an issue in Germany, we also saw an imminent suicide bomber attack. Pluto points to explosives along with Mars. 2015 period parallel to lunations of current period was a time of heightened security concerns in Europe, which unfortunately in my view could be repeated. Along with trade and shipping issues.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺
United Kingdom is the other key country influenced by this new moon — this would be a solar eclipse with south node in first house. This could negatively impact the prosperity and health of the people of the country. UK is undergoing its Uranus transit to natal Mars in 8th house of national debt, financial treaties with foreign partner and mortality. This is second leg of the transit as Uranus is going back and forth on natal Mars of UK. First go was April May 2021. Second and third go is long one as Uranus would be going direct in January 2022 at this point so from Oct 2021 to April 2022 it would be in orb with Jan 2022 being key. Uranus Mars transits can come with violence and overall unrest along with financial disputes with foreign partners. Number of deaths in UK on account of epidemic peaked in April 2021 in first go. UK is also going through Saturn transit to its natal Venus — which also points to shortage of resources and currency issues. Saturn transit to natal Venus will also become exact in Jan/Feb 2022, which points to a financial issue or currency issue coming into play in Jan/Feb 2022 in UK. This also sometimes points to high society or royal family issues. I am again drawn to a big impact on pound in 2022 by drawing parallels to 1992 when Saturn last was in the position it is now to early 2022 and we saw “Black Wednesday”. Overall this new moon along with the two other transits point to period from now to Jan/Feb 2022 to bring currency and economic issues for the UK unfortunately. This is not financial advice.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 & 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯
This is a solar eclipse for China conjunct its natal Mercury and Neptune in 8th house of finances. As it activates south node of China, it comes with a loss of economic nature. Sometimes due to Neptune and Mercury it comes with misinformation. Last in 2015 this came with the significant stock market crash in China.

While this lunation impacts the critical axis of Taiwan — ascendant descendent. But I do believe eclipse of Oct 2023 which would be activated in April 2023 would be more significant to the entity of Taiwan. This would be the time of Pluto ingress into Aquarius as well when all the power play behind the scene with China as a country and its dominance would come into open along with the military power and alliances. China is an Aquarius ascendant and moon country.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀
For United States this new moon comes as a conjunction to its natal Saturn in 11th house which is representative of parliament, legislation, alliances, national treasury. So is the meteor about to hit the economy of United States. US is ofcourse in the Pluto return now which would be exact in February 2022 and key theme for US in 2022 or for the whole world in some ways. This Pluto return is happening in its second house of finances, stock markets, currency of the country. Having natal Pluto here along with other placements makes dollar the dominant currency of the world and US the largest economy. Pluto return comes with a rebirth so the role of US dollar along with US as the most dominant economy is being reborn along with structure of its finances and stock market over this period of Pluto return in 2022 and 2023. As Pluto turns direct during this new moon, we would be seeing a start of this stress build up and it would further be seen as Venus goes retrograde towards end of the year over natal Pluto of United States showing us a preview of times to come. Venus was last retrograde here in December 2013 and Jan/Feb 2014 but we didn’t have the Pluto contacts we would this time. Yellen became the Fed Chair back in 2014. More on that separately.
